About Céline
Céline Fankhauser is a composer, orchestrator and pianist based in Switzerland. After finishing her Master in film scoring at the Zurich University of the Arts she has been working as a freelance composer over the past few years. Her work includes music for several animated as well as life action shorts, documentaries and web games. Her short films have been screened at many different international festivals such as 55. Solothurner Filmtage, Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur and Palm Springs International Animation Festival. Céline has also composed music for dance projects and loves to write concert music for all kinds of ensembles. As an arranger she has worked for Tonhalle Zürich in collaborations with Mirko Loko and Ripperton.
Her recent works include a silent film concert with seven shorts by Alice Guy for the festival Les Inoubliables, composed during a residency in Paris in 2024 and a symphonic composition for the dance production Himinglæva in 2025.
