Tonhalle Late No. 37 with Mirko Loko
In the first part of the 37th tonhalleLATE, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich presented works by John Adams under the baton of Music Director Paavo Järvi. In the second part, Mirko Loko, Céline Fankhauser, and soloists from the orchestra introduced the minimalism of the club world and the underground scene of the 00s and 10s, accompanying step by step into the dance night.
Tonhalle Late No. 38 with Ripperton
In the first part of the evening, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, conducted by film music expert Frank Strobel, played excerpts from the film scores of British Oscar winner Rachel Portman: „Chocolat,“ „Emma,“ „The Cider House Rules,“ „Never Let Me Go,“ „The Duchess“ and others.
The second part featured the legendary fusion of classical and electronic music: soloists of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich played Céline Fankhausers arrangements composed on top of some of Rippertons pieces.
